We had such a nice time together trying out this escape room as our very first one. I thought everything was well thought-out and clear. The owner was very friendly; we could tell how passionate he was about the business. Very cool! We would definitely recommend to friends and also come back to try the second room.

My two friends and I had a great time! Two/three of us were new to the escape room game and this was so much fun!! We’re definitely looking forward to trying out the firsts assistants next game as well as others in the area. The puzzles were of a great variety and difficulty and we were happy to say we got out with only 7 minutes to spare!

This is one of the greatest escape experiences I’ve ever had! You can really see the care and attention for detail involved, and it makes the experience all the better! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to challenge themselves, while having a great time!

This is a fantastic time for something a little different to do that is challenging, exciting and fun! Really makes you think, work together as a team to try and solve clues and puzzles to escape the room within 60 minutes! Highly recommend!

My siblings and our significant others, 8 of us total, did this and it was a blast! We did the professor one (there’s two different options). It was our first escape room and now we want to do more. It was a gift so we had no idea what to expect as we made our way to and through the hole in the wall building, but what a gem! If you’re considering doing this stop and just do it. You and your crew won’t regret it. Just remember to follow the rules and work as a team.

Our group visited The Gate Escape for the first time last week. We are not new to playing escape rooms, as we consider ourselves enthusiasts and have played most of the rooms in the area, but we were impressed by our experience here, and even consider this our favorite room played thus far! “The First Assistant” was a pleasure to meet, and our time in the room went quickly and smoothly. The room was creatively done with submersion elements, and there was a good mix of qualitypuzzles. We had a lot of fun, and were happy that we “escaped” before our time was up (even though we were stumped at one point and were doubting our success!). We had a little time to chat with the owner afterwards and talk about the room and process, and we left happy about our experience here. It’s very easy to see that the owner has put a lot of effort and care into designing the room and entire experience! We will gladly return to play again when the second room opens soon!

This was my 47th escape room and it easily found its way onto my top 5 list of all the rooms I’ve done. The majority of my rooms have been in Orlando, and I admit to being a little let down by some of the rooms I’ve done up here in Mass so I went into this one with low expectations, but they were immediately blown away.

This is a fun, clever room with a consistent story. The puzzles were all a lot of fun, very unique and far from linear. There was plenty to keep our group of 8 occupied at all times–very rarely did we find ourselves all bunched around one puzzle.

The Gamemaster did an excellent job nudging us in the right direction at just the right times without being too involved (and he was in a control room, not in the room with us, for those for whom that’s a sticking point.)

The aesthetics of the room were also very cool. The design all made sense within the story while still being a super cool environment to experience and play around in. This is easily one of the best rooms in Massachusetts and I can’t recommend it enough.
